NSPCC helpline, Report Abuse in Education

In March 2020 a website, Everyone's Invited, was launched to capture testimonies from victims regarding their experience of sexual abuse within a school, college or university. Recently, the number of testimonials grew expeditiously reaching 13,000 as of 2nd April. Other social media and specific websites that capture testimonials have also experienced a similar trend.

As a result, the Department for Education (DfE) is leading a national response in conjunction with the NSPCC. A dedicated helpline is now available for young people to report and seek support for current and non-recent incidents of sexual violence. Details of how a setting, child, parent or other professionals can report or seek help can be found under Children > Report Abuse in Education or Parents > Report Abuse in Education.

The helpline went live on 1st April 2021.
