We’re delighted to welcome you and your child to The National Junior School as part of our new year three cohort!
These are unusual times and I’m sure you’re wondering how we intend to help you and your child feel welcome at the school and to make the transition from Year 2 to Year 3 as smooth as possible.
It’s definitely still an unusual and challenging time at the moment, and we know you and your child might be feeling worried about the transition into Year three this September. We want to reassure you that we’re here for you every step of the way.
In order to follow the government’s guidelines on social distancing, we’ve had to adjust our arrangements for supporting this year’s transition. However, we hope the activities that we’ve planned will help put your child (and you!) at ease and get them feeling as excited as we are for the new school year.
If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s transition, let us know by contacting the school by phone or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org . Please contact us with any queries and questions and we will endeavor to get back to you as soon as possible. If you have any questions about Special Educational Needs then please also send these to the same email address and our SENDCO, Mrs Jenkins will get in touch with you.
We have also set up a page on The National Junior School website https://www.nationaljuniorschool.com/new-year-3/ where you can find out new information when it becomes available.
If you haven't already done so please complete the National Junior School Admission Form by clicking this link https://forms.gle/7LioPSzcVNEs2vLL8. Further school information regarding uniform, childcare club, school meals etc can be found on the school website.
Your child will have their transition days at the national school and these will be in the normal school day. They will have a short visit on either 29th June or the 1st July. Then all pupils will spend the day with us at the National School on 8th July. We are also looking forward to enjoying a Transition Church service on the 6th July for the children and staff.
Unfortunately we are unable to hold an information evening in school for parents due to Covid 19. However, there will be a virtual information meeting on 8th July from 4.00 – 5.00 pm. The invitation link will be sent via Parentmail from your child’s school. If you are unable to attend a recording of the meeting will be available on the National school website.
We look forward to connecting with you over this term, as we prepare for the start of your child’s learning journey with us.
