Welcome to The National Church of England Junior School
A very warm welcome to The National School where we look forward to a happy and successful future together.
The “Nash” as it is affectionately called, has been on this site since 1859, providing an education for all children in accordance with the principles and teachings of the Church of England and whilst our school is still housed in the lovely Victorian buildings of 1859, it is fully equipped to provide a 21st century primary education.
The School has a long and proud tradition of excellence in academic achievement, standards of care and extra curricular activities. The philosophy and ethos of the school enables children and staff to work closely together and enjoy the benefits of a friendly, family atmosphere in a stimulating and purposeful environment. Our recent OfSTED and Church School inspection reports both commend the outstanding ethos of the school and the high quality of teaching and learning which enables children of all abilities to thrive and succeed.
We have the needs and aspirations of all our children at the heart of all we do and work to inspire our children with a love of learning and to strive for excellence in all aspects of school life. We respect and value each individual’s contribution to our school community and as a reflection of the school’s strong community spirit, The National School has a school uniform, which is worn with pride by all the children.
I look forward to meeting you at school functions, school church services, parents’ evenings and to the development of a meaningful home school partnership. Please do not hesitate to contact us over any matter concerning your child. We are always very happy to discuss your concerns.
I hope you enjoy exploring the website but remember that the best way to find out about us is to pay us a visit and see what we get up to.
