Lincolnshire Schools Cross-Country

On Thursday, we took a team of 10 boys and 10 girls from Years 3 and 4 to the Lincolnshire schools cross-country event held at the Meres. All of our children showed true endurance to cover the mile distance. In the girls’ race, there were 158 competitors with the top three from each school counting towards the team event. First home for the National was Evie, finishing 6th, closely followed by Grace in 7th. Millie was our 3rd girl home crossing the line in 15th position. All 10 of our girls finished inside the top 70 which is a great achievement. Our boys showed similar grit and determination in a field of 160 competitors to compete well and do their best. First boy home for us was Year 3 Luke finishing in 27th position, with fellow Year 3 Jacob not far behind in 37th. Our 3rd boy was Joshua finishing in 61st. A huge well done to all 20 children taking part and a big thank you to all parents for your immense vocal support – it really helped!
